Ingredients for Golden Milk

Ingredients for Golden Milk

Milk

Any type of milk you prefer.

Turmeric

You can use turmeric powder or minced raw turmeric. I usually use turmeric powder as that is what I have handy at home.

Sweetener

You can use sugar, jaggery, brown sugar honey, or maple syrup. I like to use jaggery, brown sugar, or honey.

Black Pepper

A tiny amount of good quality black pepper powder is needed. If you don’t want the black pepper speckling the golden milk then add black peppercorns and strain the milk before drinking.

How To Make Golden Milk

I can’t wait to share how to make golden milk with you all! with you all!

So, here’s what you need to do:

Start by mixing milk, turmeric, black pepper, and your choice of sweetener in a pot. But wait! If you’re using honey instead of jaggery, remember to add it after you have finished cooking. You see, according to Ayurvedic guidelines, honey should never be boiled.

Now, on to the next step! Bring that beautiful mixture of yours to a boil, then simmer it on low heat for about a minute. After that, turn off the heat and strain your drink into a serving glass or cup. And of course, if you’re using honey, this is the time to stir it in. Voilà! Your delicious, aromatic turmeric latte is ready to enjoy.
